MIAHALLEN calls Corsair Dominator GTX3 memory "ABSURD!"

Let’s recap, this memory is amazing!  DDR3-2100 6-9-6-24 74 1T is excellent.  The IMC on all seven of the IMCs I tested on the other hand, not so good.  If you are unsure about the strength of your IMC, weigh carefully your option to purchase this memory, your money may be better spent elsewhere.

My conclusion is that this memory is absurd, so let’s review the definition again.

The quality or condition of existing in a meaningless and irrational world.

  • This memory has absurd performance!
  • This memory is absurdly expensive!
  • This memory is absurdly desirable!

MIAHALLEN first wrote an general Intel Core i3, i5, i7 overclocking guide this past January that was posted at overclockers.com.  It has recieved a lot of attention in the enthusiast community and has alread had over 100K unique page hits.  After recieving a lot of feedback, he made a major revision in Febuary, but it still was not perfect.  So over the month of August, MIAHALLEN spent many hours drilling down to the core, and rewriting the guide, breaking it down into three more specific lessons on the particulars of overclocking Clarkdale, Lynnfield, and Bloomfield/Gulftwon based CPUs.  Again, the new guides have bee recieved by the community, and have proved very popular.  If you have not had a chance to read through them yet, and you'd like to learn more about overclocking these platforms, please stop by TechREACTION and check them out.

Gaming in Tight Spaces v2.0 - MAX11L

This is the second part in the mini-ITX gaming series and was published last month when MIAHALLEN upgraded the components to the extreme, and stuffed the SG05 case full of the latest and greatest.  This was a slightly more advanced build, and took a few custom mods to achieve, not for the timid....but oh so satisfying.  Again, he competed a full performance review, and power consumption analysis.

MAX11L is currently ranked as the 10th most popular system at the eVGA MODS RIGS site, place your vote to help keep it there!

Gaming in Tight Spaces v1.0 - mini-ITX

We're a bit behind with updates to the site, so I'm posting a few older articles to bring us up to speed.  First off is a series on mini-ITX systems MIAHALLEN has been working on.  He started with a basic mini-ITX build in the miniature Silverstone SG05 case.  Not much modding, only air cooling and a pretty simple build that most users could probablu mimic with minimal trouble.  Miah completed a full performance review of what this mini machine is capable of, and even included a full accessment of power consumption being put on the barely adequate 300Wstock PSU.  He came away very impressed with the performance he was able to extract.  The article is a great read, and if you're in the market for a small gaming rig, you own it to yourself to check out the article.

MIAHALLEN is sitting at the front door of the Top 10 best overclockers on HWBOT.  He has moved up 31 spots this month, and 10 spots this week.   As of today, he has taken over the 11th spot, and only a couple of points from breaking into the top 10.  GOOC 2010 Japan qualifier is now closed.  The unofficial results places him in 2nd place.  Way to go MIAH.
